Recognising phishing and fake support

Rules that hold, always

  • We never message you first asking for anything. Not on Telegram, WhatsApp, X or email.
  • Nobody legitimate asks for your recovery phrase, password or 2FA code. Nobody. Ever.
  • We never ask you to move funds to a 'safe' or 'verification' wallet. That request is always a theft.

The fake support pattern

You post a problem publicly. Someone messages privately within minutes, seeming helpful. Eventually they ask for credentials or a wallet connection. Real support does not initiate contact.

Checking a link

Bookmark the real site and use only the bookmark. Fake sites buy ads that appear above the real one in search results. Check the address bar carefully โ€” lookalike characters are common.

Urgency is the tell

Every scam runs on time pressure. Real organisations give you time to think. Urgency exists to stop you checking.
