Restricted Jurisdictions Policy
Last updated 27 August 2026
1. Why This Policy Exists
Digital asset services are regulated differently in every country and are prohibited outright in some. This policy sets out where Zelencio is not available and what happens if someone tries to use it from a restricted location.
2. Fully Restricted Jurisdictions
Zelencio is not available to residents or nationals of, or to anyone accessing the platform from, any country or territory that is: subject to comprehensive international sanctions; listed by the Financial Action Task Force as high-risk and subject to a call for action; or one where the provision of virtual asset services to residents is prohibited by local law. Accounts identified as belonging to these jurisdictions are closed.
3. Partially Restricted Jurisdictions
In some countries specific features — peer-to-peer trading, particular assets, or higher limits — are unavailable or subject to extra verification, while the rest of the platform functions normally. The app shows you what is available to you.
4. The List Changes
Sanctions regimes and national rules change frequently. We update our restrictions as they do, sometimes at short notice and without individual warning, because we are required to act promptly. The current position always applies, not the position when you registered.
5. Sanctioned Persons
Regardless of location, Zelencio is unavailable to any individual or entity on an applicable sanctions list, and to anyone acting on their behalf.
6. How We Enforce This
We use IP-based geolocation, the country on your identity document, your declared country of residence, phone number country codes and device signals. You are required to declare your true country of residence and to tell us when it changes.
7. VPNs and Circumvention
Using a VPN, proxy, or falsified documents to disguise your location and access the platform from a restricted jurisdiction is a serious breach of our Terms. It results in immediate suspension, permanent closure, and forfeiture of any promotional rewards. It may also expose you to personal legal liability in your own country.
8. What Happens to Funds
Where an account is closed for a jurisdiction breach, we do not confiscate lawfully owned assets. Subject to sanctions law, completed compliance checks and any legal restriction that applies, we facilitate the return of the remaining balance to a verified source. Where sanctions law prohibits release, the assets are frozen and the matter is reported to the appropriate authority.
9. Your Responsibility
It is your responsibility to know whether using a crypto platform is lawful where you live. Zelencio being technically reachable from your country does not mean it is legal there, and we cannot give you legal advice about your own jurisdiction.
10. Questions and Reports
For a jurisdictional query, or to report suspected circumvention, contact help@zelencio.com. Reports are treated confidentially.
