Section 2: Why We Use Your Information, and Our Legal Basis
Last updated 27 August 2026
2.1 To Provide the Service (Contract)
We use your account and transaction data to create your account, credit deposits, process withdrawals, execute trades and swaps, match P2P orders, run escrow deals, show your balances and history, and send you transactional notices. Without this we simply cannot operate your account.
2.2 To Verify Your Identity (Legal Obligation)
Anti-money-laundering law requires regulated financial platforms to know who their users are. We use your identity documents and liveness capture to confirm your identity, confirm you are over 18, and screen you against sanctions lists. Your face data is used for verification and fraud prevention only. It is never used for advertising, never sold, and never shared for any purpose unrelated to verification.
2.3 To Keep the Platform Safe (Legitimate Interest and Legal Obligation)
We use device data, connection data and behaviour patterns to detect account takeovers, block brute-force attacks, spot fraud rings and multi-account reward abuse, and to trigger the protective Security Account hold. This protects you and every other user.
2.4 To Meet Legal and Regulatory Duties
We use your data to keep required records, to file suspicious activity reports where the law demands it, and to respond to valid orders from courts, regulators and law enforcement.
2.5 To Support You
We use your ticket history, chat transcripts and account context to answer your questions, resolve disputes with evidence rather than guesswork, and improve our help content.
2.6 To Improve the Platform (Legitimate Interest)
We look at aggregated, de-identified usage patterns to find where users get stuck, fix bugs and prioritise features. This analysis does not target you individually.
2.7 To Send You Messages
Security and transaction notices are part of the service and cannot be switched off — you need to know when someone logs into your account. Marketing and promotional messages are separate, require your consent, and can be turned off at any time in settings or through the unsubscribe link.
2.8 To Secure Sign-In (Legitimate Interest and Legal Obligation)
We use your sign-in location, device details and IP address to confirm that a login is really you, to block logins from restricted jurisdictions, and to alert you to a sign-in from a new device or place. Sign-in cannot be completed in the app if location is switched off, because this check is part of how we protect your funds.
2.9 Support Assistant and Live Chat
Our support centre starts with an automated assistant that answers common questions using our help articles and your account context (for example, the status of a deposit). It never makes decisions about your money or your verification. You can ask for a human agent at any time, and a human agent always handles disputes, appeals and account changes.
2.10 To Hire People
We use job and support-agent applications only to assess candidates, contact them and, if they join, to assign departments and pay them. We do not use them for marketing.
2.11 What We Do Not Do
We do not sell your personal data. We do not rent it. We do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers. We do not use your identity documents or face data to build advertising profiles. We do not make solely automated decisions with legal effect without giving you a route to human review.
