Section 6: Your Rights and How to Use Them
Last updated 27 August 2026
6.1 Your Rights
Wherever you live, we give every customer the same core rights, consistent with the EU and UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act, Brazil’s LGPD, the Nigeria Data Protection Act and other data protection laws. You have the right to:
- Be informed about what we collect and why. That is what this policy is for.
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct data that is wrong or out of date.
- Delete your data, where no legal duty requires us to keep it.
- Restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing, which you can stop at any time.
- Portability — receive your data in a common machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent where our use of your data was based on consent.
- Human review of an automated decision that significantly affects you.
- Complain to a supervisory authority.
6.2 How to Make a Request
Email privacy@zelencio.com from the address registered on your account, or raise a ticket in the support centre. Tell us clearly which right you are exercising.
6.2A Deleting Your Account
You can ask to delete your account at any time from your account settings in the app or on the website, or by emailing privacy@zelencio.com. We confirm the request with a one-time code. Before deletion, withdraw any remaining balance. We then close the account, delete the data we are allowed to delete, and keep only what the law requires (see 6.5 and Section 5).
6.3 Verifying It Is Really You
Before we act on a request we confirm your identity. This is a protection, not an obstacle: an attacker who could download your data or delete your records simply by sending an email would be a serious danger to you.
6.4 How Long We Take
We respond within 30 days. If a request is unusually complex we may extend this, and we will tell you why before the first period ends. There is no charge, unless a request is repetitive or clearly excessive.
6.5 The Limits of Deletion
We will delete what we can. We cannot delete identity and transaction records inside the statutory retention period described in Section 5, and we cannot delete data needed to defend a legal claim or to comply with a court order. We will always tell you exactly what was deleted and what was retained, and why.
6.6 One Thing We Genuinely Cannot Undo
Completed blockchain transactions are recorded on public networks that we do not own or control. We cannot erase, alter or hide a transaction once it has been confirmed on a blockchain, and no data protection right can compel any platform to do so.
6.7 Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, contact us first at privacy@zelencio.com so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain directly to the data protection authority in your own country.
