Section 2: Eligibility, Accounts, and Identity Verification
Last updated 27 August 2026
2.1 Who May Open an Account
You may use Zelencio only if you are at least 18 years old, have full legal capacity to enter a contract, are not located in a jurisdiction we have restricted, and are not on any sanctions or terrorist-financing list. Accounts opened in breach of this clause are closed on discovery.
2.2 One Person, One Account
Each individual may hold one account. Creating multiple accounts to farm referral rewards, evade limits, bypass a suspension or disguise the source of funds is a serious breach and results in the closure of every linked account and the forfeiture of promotional credits.
2.3 Identity Verification (KYC)
Before you can withdraw, trade peer-to-peer, or use higher limits, you must complete identity verification. You will be asked for:
- Your legal name, date of birth and nationality.
- A clear photograph of a valid government-issued identity document.
- A live face capture, so we can confirm that the document belongs to you and that a real person is present.
- Proof of address or source of funds, where a higher verification tier or a large transaction requires it.
2.4 Verification Tiers
Zelencio operates tiered access. Higher tiers unlock higher daily limits and additional features, and require correspondingly stronger evidence of identity. We may raise, lower or pause any tier for an individual account where risk indicators justify it.
2.5 Your Duty to Be Truthful
You must give information that is accurate, current and yours. Submitting a forged document, another person’s document, an edited image, or a bypass tool during liveness capture is fraud. It results in permanent account closure and may be reported to the relevant authorities. You must also update your details when they change.
2.6 When We May Refuse, Pause or Close an Account
We may refuse an application, pause an account, restrict specific features, or close an account where: verification fails or cannot be completed; documents appear altered; the account shows signs of takeover; the account is linked to a sanctioned party; activity matches money-laundering or fraud patterns; a court, regulator or law enforcement agency directs us to; or these Terms have been breached. Where the law allows us to explain, we will.
2.7 Dormant Accounts
An account with no login and no transaction for an extended period may be marked dormant and its features restricted until you verify your identity again. Your assets remain yours and remain claimable. Dormancy is a security measure, not a forfeiture.
2.8 Sign-In Methods and Location Check
You may sign in with your email and password, with Google, or with your phone number. Whichever you use, you are responsible for keeping that account secure. To protect your funds, the app checks your device location when you sign in; if location is switched off or the check suggests a restricted jurisdiction, sign-in will not complete.
