5.1 What the Marketplace Is

The peer-to-peer marketplace lets you buy crypto from, or sell crypto to, another Zelencio user. The crypto side of the trade happens on our platform. The money side does not.

5.2 Zelencio Does Not Touch Your Money

This is the most important clause in this section. Fiat payment in a P2P trade happens entirely outside Zelencio. The buyer pays the seller directly through their own bank, mobile money service or payment app. We do not hold that money, do not see the payment, do not verify it, and cannot recover it. We are not a party to that payment and are not a payment processor.

5.3 How Escrow Protects the Buyer

When a seller posts an advertisement or accepts an order, the crypto is immediately locked in our escrow. The seller cannot withdraw or trade it while it is locked. It is released only when the seller confirms payment, or when our dispute team rules in favour of the buyer.

5.4 The Seller Must Check the Bank, Not the Screenshot

Sellers: a payment screenshot proves nothing. Fake receipts are the number one fraud on every P2P market in the world. Before you release crypto you must open your own banking app and confirm that cleared funds have actually arrived and are not reversible. If you release on the strength of a screenshot and the money never arrives, that loss is yours.

5.5 Name Matching

You must pay from an account in the same legal name as your verified Zelencio profile. Third-party payments are a classic money-laundering pattern. Where a third-party account is unavoidable, we may require an additional live face verification for that specific trade before crypto is released.

5.6 Timers, Cancellation, and Appeals

Each order runs on a countdown. If the buyer does not pay within the window, the order auto-cancels and the crypto returns to the seller. If the buyer has paid and the seller does not release, the buyer may raise a dispute. Cancelling repeatedly after a seller has locked funds will restrict your marketplace access.

5.7 Disputes

Disputes are reviewed by human staff using the trade chat, the payment evidence uploaded by both sides, and the account history of both parties. You must provide evidence when asked. Our decision on the release of escrowed crypto is final for the purposes of the platform. It resolves the crypto side only — it is not a court ruling and does not stop either party from pursuing the money side elsewhere.

5.8 Trade Chat Rules

All negotiation must stay inside the trade chat, where it is recorded and can be reviewed in a dispute. Moving a trade to WhatsApp, Telegram or any outside channel removes your evidence and is a common setup for fraud. You must not share your PIN, two-factor code or one-time password with a counterparty for any reason.

5.9 Reputation and Reporting

Completion rate, average release time and user reviews are published on merchant profiles. Every trade interface includes block and report buttons. Repeated credible reports lead to automatic suspension of trading privileges pending human review.

5.10 U2U and P2P

In the app and on the website this marketplace is shown as U2U (user-to-user). U2U and P2P mean the same thing, and every rule in this section applies to both names.
