Section 6: The Escrow Hub for Digital Products
Last updated 27 August 2026
6.1 What the Escrow Hub Is
The Escrow Hub lets two users trade a digital product or service safely. The buyer’s crypto is locked by the platform before work begins, so the seller knows the money is real, and the buyer knows it will not be released until delivery is confirmed.
6.2 The Three Roles
- Buyer — funds the deal and inspects the delivery before authorising release.
- Seller — delivers the product or service and uploads proof of delivery.
- Middle Man — an optional neutral third participant who helps verify the deliverable or mediate communication. A Middle Man has no authority to move funds.
6.3 Joining a Deal
Every deal is assigned a unique join code that the creator shares with the other participants. Only share a join code with people you intend to trade with. Anyone with the code can request to join the deal.
6.4 Locking of Funds
When a deal starts, the full contract amount moves from the buyer’s available balance into an in-use, non-circulating state. Neither side can withdraw it. It is released only on completion, on cancellation by agreement, or by a decision of our dispute team.
6.5 Proof of Delivery and Milestones
The seller may upload documents or screenshots as proof of work or proof of delivery. For longer projects, the deal can be split into milestones so the buyer releases the payment in stages. Each milestone release is final and cannot be undone — inspect the delivery before you release.
6.6 Fees
The deal creator chooses who pays the escrow service fee: the buyer, the seller, or a split. The fee covers the technical management, locking and dispute infrastructure of the deal and is non-refundable once the deal has started, whatever the outcome.
6.7 What May Not Be Traded
The Escrow Hub may not be used for stolen accounts or credentials, pirated software or media, hacking tools or malware, fake documents, personal data sets, adult content involving minors, weapons, drugs, or anything else illegal in either party’s country. Deals of this kind are frozen and reported.
6.8 Chat and Moderation
All communication must stay in the deal chat. Chats include report and block controls and are subject to human moderation. Chat records are retained and may be used as evidence in a dispute or provided to law enforcement on a valid request.
6.9 The Limits of Our Role
Zelencio provides the locking mechanism, the evidence trail and a human review process. We do not inspect, test or guarantee the quality of any digital product, and we are not a party to the underlying contract between buyer and seller. Our decision determines only where the locked crypto goes.
