P2P Marketplace (Buy and Sell With Other Users)
Last updated 27 August 2026
What It Does
Lets you buy crypto with your local currency, or sell crypto for your local currency, by dealing directly with another Zelencio user. You browse advertisements, pick a price you like, and trade.
How a Trade Runs
- The buyer opens an order against a seller’s advertisement.
- Zelencio immediately locks the seller’s crypto in escrow. The seller cannot touch it.
- The buyer pays the seller directly by bank transfer or mobile money, then marks the order paid.
- The seller checks their own bank, confirms the money has arrived, and releases.
- The crypto moves to the buyer.
Zelencio Never Touches the Money
The cash leg happens entirely between the two users, through their own banks. We do not see it, hold it or verify it. We only hold the crypto.
The Rule That Protects Sellers
Never release on a screenshot. Fake payment receipts are the single most common P2P fraud everywhere in the world. Open your banking app and confirm cleared, non-reversible funds before you release. A screenshot is a picture, not a payment.
Name Matching
You must pay from an account in your own verified name. If a third-party account is unavoidable, we may require a live face check for that trade, linking the person paying to the account receiving.
Timers and Disputes
Orders run on a countdown. Unpaid orders auto-cancel and the crypto returns to the seller. If a buyer has paid and the seller will not release, either side can raise a dispute, and our team reviews the chat and the evidence and decides where the escrowed crypto goes.
Reputation
Merchant profiles show completion rate, average release time and reviews. Block and report buttons are on every trade screen. Keep all conversation inside the trade chat — it is your evidence if anything goes wrong.
